In Reply to: I did find something called starflix in google though. Haven't looked into it. (nt) posted by Lannie on April 01, 2006 at 22:31:32:

looks like there are a number of options, actually - Reviews

they're all about $25 for 4 dvds at a time, which is more than the US, but our postal system isn't as good (sorry Canada *l*). It sounds like zip or cinemail might also be good options, you can read reviews, but as usual none of the reviewers agree with each other at all ;-)

Anyway, they all have 2 week trials, so it might be worth signing up for a trial for each one, or maybe a trial + a month to give it a proper chance. *shrug* when summer comes around, I might just do that.

: : : If you have Netflix, do you want to be my friend? I don't really know how to set it up. I think we just need to know the e-mail address that the other person used. If you want to be our friend on Netflix you can use the e-mail address mikael.palssonATcomcastDOTnet and send us an invite.

: : : We only have one friend on there now and I am not sure what good it does, but it might be interesting.

: : : And Jenn, the common movie we had was Prime.

: : : I just watched Memoirs of a Geisha and enjoyed it. I finally figured out that I should save movies the moment they hit theatres or start being advertised, then move them to the top of the queue immediately. Since I started doing that we usually don't have a long wait for new releases.

: : Wikipedia to the rescue!

: : No Netflix for Canada

: : Oh well. Doesn't look like blockbuster's moved north yet either. Darn it! I was hoping to do some major movie catchup this summer.
