: : Hey everyone. Long time, no see. =)

: : I'm reading again! The drouth is over! Patrick O'Brian has saved the day.

: : I thought it would be a good time to pop back in.

: : Also, Veronica Mars, glad to know I'm among fellow fans. I'll post something once I've finished Season 1.

: Hey girl! How you been?? I, too, am a Veronica Mars fan, but it doesn't air on my stations so I've been downloading it. Only about 3/4 of the way through season 2, so I haven't clicked on the discussion below. Can't wait!

: Had to look up Patrick O'Brien. Are we talking the guy who writes history books? I love non-fic. Are they good? Last book I read was Fast Food Nation, a non-fic about the effect fast food chains have had on North American culture, economy, health etc. Pretty interesting. Now I'm reading a detective novel by Lisa Scottoline. Quite good!

POB writes historical fiction. English navy during the 2nd Napoleonic War. The series is called the Aubrey/Maturin series after the main characters, Capt. "Lucky" Jack Aubrey and Steven Maturin, a half-Irish, half-Catalonian natural philosopher and British spy. The story is mainly about their friendship. It's kind of like Jane Austen at sea.
