: 18. Can you name a female scientist other than Madame Curie? Rosalind Franklin: the pioneer molecular biologist who did/led most of the bull-work leading to the discovery of the DNA molecule. Crick and the other guy beat her to the final lap and won the accolades, benefitting from her work.

: 20. Who is your favourite woman of all time? Hazel Wolf, audobon environmentalist activist of Seattle, Washington. Hiked in Alaskan forests, rafted through the Grand Canyon, went to school to learn Spanish so she could chat with the president of Nicaragua as an audobon delegate representing America, chatted with President Reagan when he invited her to the White House: ALL IN HER 90s. She was in the Olympics for swimming, back in her teens. She died peacefully, happily, and much loved at age 101 in the year 2000. She was my dad's inspiration when he was a student in Berkley in the 1940s, and she was my inspiration during many of our visits over the years.
