: : : 20. Who is your favourite woman of all time?
: : As Julie said, this question is too dangerous to answer. I take the metaphorical 5th.
: I did NOT say that! I said "myself". It's ok if you want to use that answer ;-)
I didn't mean that you had said it in response to that particular question, just that you had said it in response to _a_ question. :P
: :: : 33. What is the worst book you have ever read?
: : I would like to say LoTR or The Hobbit, but it wouldn't be true. It isn't good but not that bad. Julie may again be right with that Irvine book.
: of course i am. i think it was called something like shadows on the glass... : And you are just wrong about JRR. *frown*
: And you are just wrong about JRR. *frown*
: : : 50. If you could eat an entire cow at one sitting, would you?
: : Why not? The ability to do it implies the hunger, etc. to justify it..
: ewwwwwwwww - but you would have to eat the brain and the organs! ewwwwwww. you British types are just not right in your ability to eat organ meats. blech.
a) I hadn't actually considered the intimate practical details of the feat. I wasn't talking about eating organs and stuff. I don't make a habit of eating organs, I must say. *l* b) I object to being labelled as a British type, despite it's near accuracy. Fyi I don't have a British passport any more, just an Irish one. I probably will get a British one again at some point though simply for the flexibilty dual citizenship gives you.
: : : 71. What was the last movie you saw?
: : Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. I know, I know, but it wasn‘t actually as bad as I had expected and I was away from home for work and nothing else was on that Uli wouldn‘t kill me for saying.
: *lol* i saw a preview for that at Xmen III, and I told Jeff quite emphatically that we were NOT going to see that movie. It looks really really really bad.
: : : 73. What was the last book you read?
: : I think it was probably ‘City of Golden Shadow‘ by Tad Williams, the first Otherland book.
: : : 74. Was it any good?
: : Not particularly. It’s kind of got better on the way through but it’s not very good really. I certainly wouldn’t specifically recommend it. I am reading the second now, but that’s more to do with the fact that we have it and I have a lack of other reading material.
: awwwww. i really understand why people don't like this series. I do. it's slow and repetitive and...slow. but i just loved the characters so much. i still think about them sometimes. for the first few months after I read it, i kept finding myself wondering what they were up to. good good characters. and i loved all the worlds, esp the house (which you haven't gotten to yet) *sigh* if only he had moved things along a little faster.
I can't say I'm all that enthralled by the characters really. Orlando is the only one I like particularly. The rest mostly get on my nerves. Especially the Renie chick.
: : : 92. What is your favourite book?
: : Either ‘Interview with the Vampire’ or ‘Lord of Chaos‘
: i am still mystified by your affection for that miserable novel.
Wouldn't the world be boring if we were all the same? *g* It does have a certain amount to do with the circumstances in which I read it though.
