1. Godslayer - Jacqueline Carey - 2nd (and last) book of The Sundering. It was a great (mini) series.
It's basically a story very similar to Lord of the Rings, but the main difference (which makes it a completely different story) is that most of it is told from the POV of the 'bad guys', which are not really bad (surprise). Imagine feeling sorry for Saurun :) I was a bit dissappointed by the ending, but (without giving any spoilers), maybe it was meant to be dissappointing.
2-5. Deverry - books 3-7 - I have to order the rest of them sometime soon. They are not too bad *g*
The thing I find most surprising is that I have a book by my favorite author (Orson Scott Card) waiting to be read. I started reading it months ago, and I dread going back to it. I think it's because I already read a short story version of it, and I know the ending is going to be sad, so I don't want to get too attached to the main characters. It's almost like the way I feel about watching films about the Holocaust (I haven't watched Schindler's List yet, and I'm Israeli).
