Lords of the Sky by Angus Wells

Review by Tai

Well, seeing as how its the fad these days I thought I would submit a book review. The book is called Lords of the Sky and it's by Angus Wells I don't know if anybody has ever read it or even heard of it. But I found it sitting in a corner at the library, with dust on the cover. :) Now about the book (please note I read this about 5 years ago)

This is a stand-a-lone fantasy epic. The entire book is a recollection of the main character's past. The writing style is pointedly very different from any authors I have read. The style reminds me of McKillip's style of writing, with some differences. the Style is very slow and even tempoed. usually I don't like slow tempoed books but it fit very nicely with the story line.

The story unfolds as Daviot, the main character begins to tell his tale of the Ahn invasion in his youth. I don't know what else to say, perhaps somebody else who has read it will say more. But of all the books I have read, it is among my favorites. very good read. Umm we supposed to hand out amulets? I give it 4 out of 5 *g* not that I have a base to compare it with. *g*
